Silver Scottish Clam Shell Earrings
Silver Scottish Clam Shell Earrings
Handmade in Scotland, these exquisite silver clam shell earrings are inspired by a tiny clam shell found on the shores of Nairn beach along Scotland's stunning Moray Firth. The clam shell motif holds historical significance in Scotland, appearing on the seal of Lady Egidia Blair of Row in the 16th century. Additionally, clams were a staple food for pilgrims visiting Crossraguel Abbey during that era. Crafted in fine silver (999) with sterling silver (925) ear posts and scrolls, the earrings measure 5 x 6mm. Each pair is beautifully presented on a Ticketyboo Coo earring card and a Baltersan Castle handmade thank you card, perfect for gifting or treating yourself.
All handmade by Elain McLeod in her home studio in Edinburgh. Handmade in Scotland.
All net proceeds from the sale of each item will go toward the management, restoration, and activities of Baltersan Castle.
