Silver Scallop Shell Necklace
Silver Scallop Shell Necklace
This exquisite silver scallop shell pendant is inspired by the beauty of nature and the legacy of Lady Egidia Blair of Row, a noblewoman of 16th-century Scotland. The scallop shell, recreated from an actual shell found on the shores of Nairn Beach along Scotland’s stunning Moray Firth, reflects both Scotland’s coastal heritage and the enduring symbolism of the shell as a sign of spirituality, pilgrimage, and renewal.
This design, lovingly handmade by Elaine McLeod of The Ticketyboo Coo, was carefully selected from her collection to be part of the Lady Row Collection. The scallop shell also pays homage to Lady Row, who is remembered for her generosity, spirituality, and acts of goodwill, including her significant charitable contributions. The shell, a symbol featured on her personal seal, represents nourishment, care, and the strength of the feminine spirit—qualities Lady Row embodied throughout her life.
DIMENSIONS: The pendant measures approximately 17mm x 15mm at its widest points, and the chain is 18 inches long.
