Baltersan 1584
As promised, Baltersan 1584 whisky is now available for sale!
In collaboration with Hard to Find Whisky, I'm pleased to announce the first publicly available small batch of Baltersan 1584 whisky, offered at a promotional launch price of £79.95.
Please note, these bottles are separate from the limited collector's edition of 60 numbered bottles that will be released soon. However, this marks the first time Baltersan Castle whisky has been sold in 440 years.
This very special bottling is a collaboration between Douglas Laing and the Laird of Baltersan. This exceptional single malt from the Caol Ila distillery was distilled in 2010 and spent 12 years maturing in a single Refill Hogshead. The whisky boasts a bold and distinctive flavour profile, and is bottled at high strength without colouring or chill filtration.
The whisky was bottled to support the restoration of Baltersan Castle, and its transformation into a cultural hub and music school.
